Construction of a Residential Educational Complex for The Blind

AJB Trust Institute is currently providing education to blind students generally belonging to Lahore. Keeping in view the importance and need, the Trust has decided to expand this facility and reach out to more blind  children  in Pakistan by providing them a complete residential and educational complex fully equipped with modern facilities. The Government of Punjab has kindly donated 5.5 acres land for this project off Ferozepur Road, Lahore. Mr. Nayyar Ali Dada, an internationally renowned Architect and member of AJB Board of Trustees has planned and designed the complex.

 

 

 

 

The Complex will Inshallah consist of:
 
1.         Educational and Training Buildings.
            a.         School buildings.
            b.         Vocational Training workshops.
            c.         Offices, Library, Auditorium, Braille Transcription Section, Talking Books Recording Studio etc.
            d.         Sports and outdoor training area.  
            e.         A manufacturing unit for special assistive technology equipment for the blind.
            f.          Mosque/ Prayer Hall
            g.         Women Development – Girl Child education (for local female population)       

2.         Complete residential facilities for the:-
            a.         Academic students - females and males.
            b.         Faculty
            c.         Administrative and logistic support staff.

Total construction area         :        Approximately 180,000 sq. ft.
Estimated project cost          :        Pak Rs. 280 million.
