AJB Institute

The AJB Trust Institute for the Blind is the flagship project of the Trust and was launched in September, 1996 as the first Institution in Pakistan to provide English-medium instruction to blind children using the latest techniques, equipment and technology.

Located at Township, Lahore, the Institute provides a positive learning environment which puts great emphasis on academics, because this is the only avenue which can create opportunities for a respectable and dignified life, for those who cannot see. Quality education places the visually impaired at equal footing with their sighted peers.  Providing this education in English allows students to access global resources rather than limiting them to those that are locally available.

Aziz Jehan Begum Trust Institute for the Blind is the only English medium Institute in Pakistan with state of art equipment and well-trained teachers. Over the course of last 11 years, the Institute has enabled its students to surmount the barriers imposed by their disability, and proved that education of these children in Pakistan, though arduous, is not impossible.

Everything can wait — but for children the name is “TODAY”
